I made a shell ripple blanket for my niece and decided to design a hat to go with it. I’ve had so many people ask for the pattern that I decided to write one out.

I took the time to design the hat for many sizes: Preemie, Newborn, Baby 0-3 months, Baby 3-6 months, Baby 6+ months, Toddler, Child, and Adult.

Gauge is based off the diameter (the width) of the first 3 rounds.

You’ll want at least 2 colors to create the ripple effect, you may use more. the photo has 3 shades of purple with a light gray. (4 colors)

I did not include the pattern for the flower as it is not my pattern, it is just a spiral rose, there are many versions out there that I have used depending on my needs. :)
