Geo Cowl
The Geo Cowl has a delightful geometric two colour design with an interesting texture. It is snuggly, warm, stylish and quick to work. It’s also a great way to use up any leftover yarn from other projects.
The pattern uses just a few basic crochet stitches (UK dc, htr, tr, dtr and US sc, hdc dc, tr). However, the placement of stitches is a little unusual so I rate this as being intermediate in difficulty. A partial chart and picture tutorial have been included to accompany the written instructions.
YOU WILL NEED 200 m (220 yds) of both colour A and B in worsted weight or Aran yarn, a 5.50 mm hook and a needle for neatening ends.
GAUGE 16sts and 8 rows (in pattern) to 10 cm (4”).
Although designed to be worked in Aran (worsted weight) yarn, full directions are given to increase circumference to accommodate changes in yarn or personal gauge. When changing yarn, you will need to select two similar weight yarns.
The pattern is written in both UK and US terms:
UK Terms – Page 2
US Terms – Page 3
The pattern is fully tested by crocheters of varying abilities.
