Geometric Eyelets
A friend asked me for a hat.
“Brilliant,” I said. “I love knitting hats.”
“But it can’t be a winter hat,” she said. “I need a spring or an autumn hat.”
“But I only have worsted weight yarn with me, 100% wool,” I replied.
“I don’t know what that means,” she said. “Stop talking in knit-speak.”
“Ok. I’ll figure something out.”
Is it possible to knit a warm-weather hat in 100% wool, worsted weight yarn?
YES!
How?
Eyelets, baby, and yarn overs, all in geometric patterns that
-breathe
-look pretty
The pattern has two sizes, to accomodate the reactions of different yarns after blocking. If you’re using a very stretchy yarn, or would prefer a slightly snugger hat, use the smaller size. If your yarn retains its shape after blocking, or you’d prefer a slouchier fit, choose the larger size.
As always, 100% of all proceeds from www.thecompassioknitter.com and its patterns go to charity.
