I’ve always wanted to have my own pair of stranded mittens, my problem being I have big hands and long fingers. I love geometric patterns so I developed these mittens to satisfy my needs. This is my first stranded color work design, go big or go home right?

Norwegian style mittens with a geometric stranded color work design. These knit up surprisingly quick and fit snugly around the palm. These mittens are meant to fit an 8” long hand with an 8” circumference. This is achieved by knitting at 8 sts per inch. To fit a woman’s hand (or someone generally smaller) shoot for 9 sts per inch or higher. Watch your tension along the floats, keep them loose.
