Deceptively quick and easy to make, The Geometrical Fugue Cowl and Wrist Warmers are projects I know you will find worthwhile.

Please follow the stitch-by-stitch, row-by-row directions exactly for best results. If you are not familiar with grafting (kitchener stitch), consult a good knitting magazine, YouTube, or your local yarn shop.

Materials
Cowl:
350 yards of DK weight yarn
29” circular needle #6 plus spare needle to hold sts while grafting
3 buttons, any size

Wrist Warmers:
75 yards DK weight yarn
DP needles #6

Both projects:
stitch markers
a blunt sewing needle with large eye

Begin with the border, work the inner section from the bottom up, kitchener (graft) side and top edges invisibly to the inner section, and voila! You have a seamless angled piece that when folded and stitched, and accented with beautiful buttons, becomes a very fashionable cowl. Wear yours over your favorite top, or over your Geometrical Fugue Jacket (pattern also available from Not Just Plain Jane Knits).

This project is a great deal of fun both to knit and to wear. You will need 350 yards of DK weight yarn for the cowl, and 75 yards for the wrist warmers. The gauge in DK yarn is 5 sts = 1” on size 6 needles. You can also achieve different sizes by varying weight of yarn, needle size, or both.
