size 4 US (16”) circular needles or dpns
266m/290 yds of a worsted yarn
stitch marker
tapestry needle
plastic canvas (for brim)
sewing needle and pins
like colored sewing thread

Gauge:
20rows + 20 sts in stockinette st = 3.5 inches using size 4 US needles
