A simple pattern for bunting in 6 geometric shapes designed to not only be a decorative item but to be used as a teaching aid for children – teaching them shapes as well as colours and colour theory.
Alternatively you can just use 1 shape or 1 colour rather than all 6 shapes and make it in various shades.
An ideal project to colour match with room décor or to make for a special event such as a Birthday, Easter, Halloween or Christmas Party or an event.
It is designed to be viewed from either side so you hang it across a room

Designed for DK yarn - cotton or acrylic

In DK cotton with a G / 5mm / 6 hook the approx. sizes are:
Circle – 6” diameter
Triangle – 5” along one side
Square - 5” along one side
Rectangle – 4 x 5”
Pentagon – 3” along each side
Hexagon – 2” along each side

The hanging ribbon has built in slots to help hang it up or slot additional ribbons/awards/treasures etc on it.

Stitches used are (UK terms) double, half treble, treble and slip stitch
