Created for the London Girl “Katie” doll; “Geordie Girl” is a super way to dress your London Girl or American Girl doll. A modern style like girls love to wear today!
A simple sweater dress for all similar 18” dolls
A minimum of sewing necessary as it is knit bottom up flat with sleeves knit in the round and added to yoke and only sewed at underarms , (but which could easily be knit flat and then seamed if preferred)
A seed stitch and stockinette yoke adds pretty details.
Made in a multicolour yarn or in one tone it is equally pretty. I used just one 50g ball of yarn.
It has a back opening for easy dressing with snaps or velcro sewn onto the garter border. It can be reversed to have the opening at the front for a cardi if desired.

I sewed a little UK flag on the sweater. It was just the inside label from a tshirt!

This is an easy project which should be suitable for most knitters.Skills necessary are really only basic knitting.
