George appears to be a very popular name for a Giraffe. I guess its kind of like the name Scooby for dogs or Polly for parrots. It just fits.

George Giraffe is a quick and easy mitten project to knit up and the further I got on the design the more it felt right to make this pattern a free one. What child doesn’t love giraffes? Or grown-ups for that matter. So I hope you enjoy making them as much as I did.

I made the child medium size using sock/fingering weight with 2.5mm needles and the child large/teen size using DK weight with 3mm needles.
