A great way to use up scrap yarns! I think it’s a relatively simple pattern, done in the round with single crochet stitches. The body parts can all be made of different colors to make different kinds of bugs. Have fun with it :-)

Helps to have some sort of wire for the legs (i.e. pipe-cleaner or floral wire), but not necessary
