Knitting pattern for a short summer top with a deep V-neck and bows to close the straps in sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL

Structure:
The summer top is knitted in two parts: First, you are going to knit the front part and afterwards you are knitting the back part following the same instructions as for the front part. For both parts, you are going to knit in stockinette stitch for a certain number of rows until you start to shape the armholes with decreases and a few rows after you are going to separate the front/back part into two halves to shape the V-neck and to finish the straps. Afterwards, you are going to close the side seams using the mattress stitch and you are making a beautiful bow to close the straps of your summer top.
The top has a slightly loose fit, but it is still close to the bust. The length is short and that’s why it is the perfect summer top for high waisted trousers and skirts. The romantic bows to close the straps are the cherry on the cake and the special design element of the simple summer top.

Knitting tension:
10x10 cm = 16 sts x 25 rs in stockinette stitch with 2 strands of yarn held together on 5 mm knitting needles (wet blocked)
