Georgia Squared
This is the square version of my Georgia Shawl triangle and rectangle pattern.
The pattern is designed to repeat, so you can make one-repeat square to join together with others or continue the repeating pattern until the desired size of afghan is achieved.
It’s a versatile design that could also be used to make a pillow/cushion cover, table runner, table cloth, placemat, dresser cover, cat blanket, or as a larger item for across the end of the bed.
Clever Mariola Malinowska added 15 extra rows of double crochet after doing two repeats, and joined two sides together to make a cardigan.
This pattern is for intermediate to advanced crocheters.
I suggest cotton acrylic 4 plys from Wolle Amore or KoKonki.
Scheepjes and YarnArt Flowers would also be suitable for this project. The amount required will depend on the size you decide to make your project.
