The Georgina skirt is long and simple flowy skirt. It sits comfortably on the waist thanks to the folded top part. This pattern suitable for advanced beginners. You will learn how to do a provisional cast on, increase stitches, work german short rows and knit two panels of knitting together. I also included a video tutorial for the most challenging parts of the pattern.

The Georgina skirt is knit from the top down in the round. You will first cast on your stitches on smaller needles and work the waist band. The waist band is then folded on itself and sewn together while you knit. The rest of the skirt is knit on bigger needles, with raglan increases at the beginning.

You can very easily adjust the width and length of the skirt to your desires. If you would like a more tight fitting skirt, you only need to work less raglan increases than advised. You can adjust the length as well by knitting to the exact length that accomodates you.

Sizes

The sizes of the Georgina skirt range from a waistband width of 56 cm to 136 cm.
You can choose to knit a high waisted version of the skirt, choosing a size that has 0 to 5 cm of negative ease, or a low waisted version if you size up. In the pictures I am wearing a size 3.
