Gestirn
Gestirn is the German word for star or heavenly body. Combining the Marguerite stich with other stitches creates the appearance of stars and makes a lovely textured cowl to keep your neck warm on cold days.
Tools and Materials:
- 0.75 skein worsted weight or Aran yarn (sample shown used 75 g, 144 m, ¾ of a skein of Malabrigo Rios in Reflecting pool)
- 6.00 mm (J/10) crochet hook
- tapestry needle and scissors
Sizes: Small and Large, for a tight or loose-fitting cowl. 52 or 72 cm (20.5 or 28 in) circumference. Size can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of foundation stitches. Sample shown is size S (52 cm/20.5 in circumference, 22 cm/8,6 in depth).
Gauge: 14 sts and 14 rounds in 10 cm/4 in, however gauge is not critical to this pattern.
Difficulty: Advanced beginner to intermediate
