In the book, this pattern is used for two projects: the “Get Back Backpack”, using 4 x 50g balls of self-striping wool-mix yarn (Noro Blossom); and the “Secret Life Shoulder Bag”, using 4 x 50g balls of bouclé wool-mix yarn (Cashmerino Astrakhan) and 3 x 50g balls of DK wool (Matchmaker DK), holding together one strand from each. The second project simply shows a different configuration of the buttons and straps, to use the bag as a shoulder bag instead of a backpack. One finished project converts to the other.
