Hofstadter’s Law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter’s Law.
— Douglas Hofstadter, Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid

This summer I found that trying to make a nice fall set of decorations took so much longer than expected, that I’m about to miss submitting it before Halloween.

Next year I hope to have a larger collection.

These decorations can be hung in a window, made into a mobile, placed on a windowsill, or at at bedside or in a hallway.

With battery-powered tea lights, you can make white or multicolored decorations. Battery-powered tea lights can also be found in colors that change every few seconds. The batteries last about 30 hours, and can be changed without buying more tea lights.

Although they do give a reassuring light, they are not bright enough to use as guides while Trick or Treating or other activities.

My ghost lights always seem to look friendlier in person than in pictures.

I hope that you enjoy them.
