Ghost Crossbody Bag
THIS LISTING IS FOR THE CROCHET PATTERN ONLY - NOT A PHYSICAL ITEM
I ONLY sell patterns on Etsy and Ravelry. If you see any of my patterns anywhere else then they are stolen. My patterns are now all watermarked thanks to thieves. Thank you for supporting the real designer!
This cute little ghost bag is ready to carry your phone, wallet, seance materials - whatever you need on the go! When made with medium weight yarn your outer ghost bag will be about 10.5” tall and 7” across at the widest point. Your usable space, however, will mainly be the 8”x6” liner bag inside. You can also make a bigger or smaller bag with different sized yarn! I think an extra bulky weight bag would make a great trick or treating bag.
This is an advanced beginner to intermediate level pattern, written in US terms. It is a 20 page pattern with lots of pictures to help you along the way and it has been tested by several amazing testers. It has instructions for three different eye shapes: round, oval, and heart shaped.
Supplies:
-110 yards of medium weight yarn for the main ghost bag. Small amounts of a medium weight accent color for the eyes. (Or use any size yarn you want)
-45 yards of medium weight yarn for the bag strap. I suggest using cotton or a similar sturdy yarn to cut down on wear and tear.
-4mm hook for main bag (or hook about one size down from suggested size)
-3.5mm hook for eyes and strap (it’s okay to use same size hook as bag if you prefer. The smaller hook just gives a little tighter weave.)
-8”x6” bag for lining (or size that will fit your bag). Here are the bags I used (I removed the drawstrings): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MFVP6FQ/
-Optional: Magnetic snaps or closure of your choice. This is not required as the bag holds its shape at the top well enough. Here’s what I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQTKPZ5J/
-Optional: Fabric glue or hot glue to attach snaps/magnets (I recommend adding glue even for sew-on snaps for added security)
-Optional: Black safety eyes if you’d like to add pupils to your ghost’s eyes
-Stuffing material
-Tapestry needle
-Stitch markers
