He’s fun! He’s cute! The Ghost Emoji is perfect for the Halloween display or for anyone that loves emojis and emoticons.

He is knitted flat and then seamed and stuffed.

All the pieces on the face are knitted and then sewn on.

You may use the yarns suggested or any other DK yarn you wish.

Materials Required:
2.75mm knitting needles, darning needle, toy stuffing (~50gms) and coloured yarn

Gauge:
Not important, but do ensure to knit tight enough so that the stuffing does not show through on the body and the arms

Approximate finished size:
14cm x 18cm

Yarn required:
25gm James C Brett Top Value DK 8428 White
5gm James C Brett Top Value DK 8430 Black
5gm James C Brett Top Value DK 8453 Hot pink

Knitting skills required:
K: Knit
P: Purl
K2tog: Knit 2 stitches together
Kfb: Knit the stitch, but before taking the stitch off the needle, insert tip of working needle into the backside of the loop and knit that stitch too.
(K1,P1,K1) into the cast on stitch: Insert your working needle into the cast on stitch and knit one stitch, but leave it on the main needle. Now bring the working yarn to the front and purl into the same stitch, but leave it on the main needle. Now bring the working yarn to the back and knit into the same stitch, this time pulling it off the main needle. You will now have 3 stitches on the needle.

Sewing skills required:
Mattress stitch
Running stitch
Overstitch

I would say that this pattern is suitable for an intermediate/experienced knitter

Happy knitting!
