I did not design this pattern myself, but I was one of her testers for it. It’s one of my favorite patterns and is beautifully written.

Necessary supplies worsted weight yarn, red heart or caron jumbo.

1/4-in long tubing or crafting wire for the brim. You can find it at hardware stores.

Some tape, I use clear packing tape. And a 5 mm hook
