Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) 6, 7, 8, 9;
To fit (approx.): preemie (baby, toddler, child, teen) adult small, adult medium, adult large, adult XL with 0 - 2”/ 0 - 5cm of negative ease.
Finished circumference: 11 (12.5, 13.75, 15, 16.5) 18, 19.25, 20.5, 22” / 27.5 (31, 34.5, 38, 41.5) 44.5, 48, 51.5, 55cm.
Finished height: 5.5 (5.5, 6, 6.5, 7) 7, 7.5, 7.5, 8“ / 14 (14, 15, 16.5, 17.5) 17.5, 19, 19, 20cm.

Needles: US 3/ 3.25mm, or size to obtain gauge in Stockinette stitch and Ghost Stories stitch pattern (you may need a larger needle for Fair Isle if you tend to knit tightly), in 16”/ 40cm - 22”/ 55cm (depending on hat size) circular and in DPNs; and US 1.5/ 2.5mm, or 2 - 3 US sizes / 0.75mm smaller than gauge needle, in 16”/ 40cm - 22”/ 55cm (depending on hat size) circular.

Gauge: 32 sts and 38 rnds = 4”/ 10cm over Stockinette stitch and Fair Isle pattern.

MC: 40 (45, 50, 55, 65) 80, 95, 110, 125 yards / 37 (42, 46, 51, 60) 74, 88, 101, 115 meters;
CC: 40 (45, 50, 55, 65) 80, 95, 110, 125 yards / 37 (42, 46, 51, 60) 74, 88, 101, 115 meters.

Using MC for brim and crown; CC for Ghosts:
MC: 55 (60, 65, 70, 85) 110, 135, 160, 180 yards / 51 (55, 60, 65, 78) 101, 124, 147, 165
meters; and
CC: 25 (30, 35, 40, 45) 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 yards / 23 (28, 32, 37, 42) 46, 51, 55, 60, 65 meters.

Notions: 8 (9, 10, 11, 12) 13, 14, 15, 16 stitch markers, tapestry needle.
