Receiving a handful of magic beans in what seems at first a bad bargain, ordinary Jack begins a great adventure on a magic beanstalk, rising as far as the eye can see. In some legends, he blunders his way to redemption, while in others, his cunning saves the day. This clever scarf uses vivid color and a bold lace leaf motif, juxtaposed with a delicate, airy yarn and beads, to create a scarf that is both dramatic and classic.

NOTES

  • Vine pattern creates scallops on the long edges of the scarf. Block scarf to above measurements to fully open the pattern stitch. Finished width may be slightly less after blocking pins or wires are removed.
  • Vine chart shows right-side rows only. Work wrong-side rows as given in instructions.
  • The crochet hook is only used to place the beads. Choose a hook no larger than 0.75 mm that easily slips through the hole in your beads.

Tranquinna did a lovely variation, and she wrote some details here on her project page. See her photo above and enjoy!!
