The Gideon beanie works up quickly with bold strips of color.

SKILL LEVEL:
o Basic/Beginner
o Easy
o Intermediate – You will need to know how to SC, SC2TOG, HDC, HDC2TOG, work in front/back loops and in the round.
o Complex/Advanced

MATERIALS NEEDED:
o Any bulky (#5) weight yarn. I used Caron Pantone X in Strawberry Chill (toddler size - 1 hank), Frozen Berry (child size - 1 hank), Purple Mist (teen/adult size - 1 hank), and Ultra Violet Minerals (teen/adult - 2 hanks for striped version). Approximately 80 yards – 125 yards depending on hat size.
o US size J-10 (6 mm) hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
o Tapestry needle
o Pom pom (optional)

3 SIZES:
Toddler (1-2 years)
Child (3-10 years)
Teen/Small Adult

All patterns are in English, using US standard crochet terms. I have added several working pictures to help clarify how I completed a stitch.
