The GIFTBOX HOTPAD and GIFTBOX DRINKS MAT are fun projects to make. Using simple overlay mosaic techniques and some other basic stitches and methods, this project is great for any festive party.

Included in the pattern are the instructions for the Hotpad and drinks mat. In addition, there are optional instructions to add a heatproof backing or create a double-sided crochet option.

As the pattern includes directions for stitch formation and placement, hints and tips and some process pictures, it is ideal for the adventurous beginner.

Please note: the Giftbox Hotpad was featured in Happily Hooked Magazine in September 2022. However, the instructions contained in this pattern contain pictures and additional hints and tips. The Giftbox Drinks Mat is a completely new pattern. There is also now a companion video.

For the Hotpad or Drinks Mat, you will need 1 skein (at least 50g) each of three colours. This will allow you to make one Hotpad or three alternate colour Drinks Mats.
