The crochet gift ties pattern has 35 colour pages and gives detailed instructions to crochet heart (3 sizes), star (2 sizes), flower (2 sizes) and leaves (2 sizes) gift ties in DK yarn using a 4mm hook.

It requires a basic knowledge of crochet and is suitable for confident beginners.

Ties can be made using a different weight yarn and a corresponding hook, but thicker yarn will give a bulkier tie.

This pattern includes photographs and is written in UK terms with US conversions included. Stitches (UK) used are:

Ch. (Chain)
Sl. st. (Slip stitch)
Mr. (magic ring)
Dc. (double crochet)
Htr. (half treble crochet)
Tr. (treble crochet)
Dtr. (double treble crochet)

These ties are fully adjustable in length and take very little yarn. They are great for using up scraps!
