Many of our family members have a military background or other jobs that require uniforms. My kids love to see their uncles and grown-up cousins in their special clothes. I used the tailoring and details common to uniforms, such as epaulets and chevrons, while incorporating a kid-friendly, funky pop of color in this whimsical jacket with grown-up style.
