Looping cable chains, separated by sections of lacy mesh, spiral across the Gilded Chains shawl. This project uses straightforward techniques to create a sophisticated shawl packed with texture and pizzazz.
This asymmetrical triangular shawl is knit on the bias from one tip to the opposite edge. The shawl grows one stitch every two rows along the top edge. The 36-stitch wide lace and cable block repeats across each row to create all-over texture.
Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished shawl.
The instructions are both written and charted.
Beads are entirely optional.
