Ginevra Tee 2.0
EDIT: Due to the note below about yarn, I am deactivating this pattern.
It is a scandinavian pattern written with a very specific yarn in mind, and I cannot guarantee it will work for another yarn due to how Pickles Organic Cotton grows after the first wear.
This combined with the scandinavian patternwriting-style is creating alot of confusion for knitters, so I will no longer be offering the pattern.
For a similar design I recommend Witre Designs Skagen Tee.
IMPORTANT
The yarn used in this design is hard to swap out for other yarns as it grows ALOT. The pattern is therefore designed with this specific yarn in mind, and the gauge is pre-block seing as the size you get with this specific yarn after a wear is way bigger than when knitting it. The stitchcounts take that into concideration.
Knitting it in another yarn is therefore not recommended as even if you get gauge it might not behave the same way that the intended yarn does with the first wear.
The Ginevra tee is a simple, timeless and feminine buttop-up top with a flattering V-neckline and a cropped length to go with your highwaisted skirts and jeans. It’s knit in cooling cotton, which makes it the perfect summer top!
Needles: 4mm
Yarn: Pickles Organic Cotton
Size: (1) 2 (3) 4 (5) 6 (7)
Bust: Aprox (86cm) 96cm (104cm) 112cm (120cm) 130cm (136cm)
Note in picking size – The top can be worn with minimal to several cm of positive ease depending on taste. I’m a 91cm/36” bust and knit the nutmeg version pictured in a size 2, and the white version pictured in a size 4, giving me two completely different fits.
Quantity: (200g) 225g (250g) 300g (350g) 350g (400g)
Gauge: 16m = 10cm
NOTE ON AVAILABLE SIZES - if you want to knit this, or any of my patterns, in a larger size than I currently have published, please get in touch! The only reason it is not available in larger sizes is I couldn’t get testknitters for those sizes, and I don’t want anyone to pay for a pattern and knit a size thats not been tested. So if you would like to (test)knit this - or any of my patterns! - in a larger size than is currently available, drop me a message and I’ll send you the pattern for free!
NOTE ON JKR and Harry Potter: As this pattern is named after the Harry Potter universe, I have to make it clear that I support trans rights. I do NOT agree with JKRs violent views.
As a result of this I will no longer be taking any inspiration from her work.
