Gingerbread Boy Cookie
This sweet chrocet gingerbread boy is such a cute way to add a handmade touch to your christmas decor, or a unique christmas gift.
This pattern is written in a “design it yourself” style with instructions to mix and match the variations within the pattern.
The pattern includes a range of accessories to decorate the “cookie” along with felt, buttons, and other craft items.
There are four variations of the girl gingerbread cookie given with this pattern:
- Boy
- Bitten Head
- Bitten Arm
- Bitten Leg
What you need:
Cookie Base: 230-250m DK weight cookie coloured yarn.
Bow: 18m DK weight yarn in preffered colour
Mask:18m DK weight yarn in white.
Button Replacement: Up to 6m.
Scarf: 30m DK weight in chosen colours.
Skill level: advanced beginner. The pattern mostly comprimises of SCDC stitches, but you will also need to know foundation SCDC stitches.
The US and UK instructions are in separate files for ease of readability.
This pattern is worked in two halves before joining to give it the “flat” cookie feel. Constructing the pattern this way makes it approachable for beginners.
The Gauge is not critical to this project. Ensure the hook used matches the yarn. Matching the gauge will give you a cookie approximately 28cm tall and 25cm wide.
Only the base cookie pattern will be available on my blog.
