Gingerbread house ornament
This is my original design that I created in honor of my favorite part of the holidays: baking! I’ll be honest, this ornament is a little on the fiddly side, but it’s a rewarding project that would make a great addition to your holiday decor (it’s also a great last-minute gift—I won’t tell). Display it alongside my gingerbread man ornament (pattern also sold here on Ravelry), and you will have the sweetest Christmas tree in the neighborhood.
It helps to have some experience to complete this successfully (hence the intermediate skill level), but it would be a fun challenge for a confident beginner. This is worked flat in several panels, then stitched together to create a 3-D shape. This pattern takes very little of each color yarn (brown, white, red, and any other colors you’d like)—you likely already have what you need in your stash, making it a great stash buster. You’ll also need a cord or ribbon for hanging.
