Gingerbread Man
It was so quick and easy to make this little man, and what a cute thing he is! He is currently sitting happily in the window downstairs, smiling at the passing village and waiting patiently for some new friends to join him.
Construction: The body is knitted in one piece from a provisional cast on and worked flat on two needles right up to the top of the head (which is cast off with RS together to avoid a bulky top seam). The legs are then worked downwards from the provisional cast on. The result is one body seam which runs down the back and around the inside leg edges. The side ridge detail serves to help shape the gingerbread man and determine the positioning of the arms, which are knitted separately and sewn in place at the end - nothing could be simpler, I can’t wait to see some of your photos of finished projects!
