APPROXIMATE SIZE OF THE FINISHED GINGERBREAD MAN:
Approximately 9” (23 cm) in height, considering you will use the same yarn type and hook size.
YARN USED FOR THIS CROCHET GINGERBREAD MAN PATTERN:
Main color (brown): 100% acrylic yarn, worsted weight (#4). Approximately 2.78 oz (79 g), or 145 yds (133 m).
Additional colors: about 10 to 15 yards of white worsted weight (#4) for the frosting rounds. A small amount of green yarn for the bow tie, pink and black yarn scraps for the face embroidery.
MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
3.25 mm (US D) hook
Stitch Marker
A pair of 8mm safety eyes
Tool for placing safety eyes (optional)
Stuffing fiber
Stuffing tool (optional), I use a hemostat.
Tapestry needle and sewing needle
Scissors
2 red buttons
Gauge:
Not crucial, but a swatch with 6 rounds is 2.5” (6.5 cm) in diameter, measured across the center. The pattern for the swatch is included in the PDF.
Gauge is not crucial though, if you want your gingerbread man to be smaller, you can use a thinner yarn.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Intermediate.
You need to know how to make Amigurumi, magic circle, chain, sc increase, sc invisible decrease, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, fasten off, weave in ends, yarn color change, stuffing, simple embroidery, fasten off. You need to know how to read crochet patterns in US terms. I do not offer video tutorial for this pattern.
