This fun gingerbread family was designed at the request of a special little girl who loves the story of The Gingerbread Man, but she wanted a whole family of gingerbread people. And she was delighted with the results! Make any combination of Mom, Dad and children to suit the family you’re making them for!

Size
Gauge is not important to these patterns. The size of your finished products will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use. Made with the materials listed, the Dad measures about 4” tall, the Mom about 3 ¾”, the kids are about 2 ¾”.

Worsted weight for dolls; sport weight for some accessories
3mm hook throughout
6mm safety eyes - 2 each for the girl and boy
8mm safety eyes - 2 each for the mom and dad
Fiberfill Stuffing
Embroidery floss
Optional buttons
Tapestry needle, safety pin, straight pins, scissors, skewer

Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond (mainly because of the type of terminology used). The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help.
