Hi there!
As a huge fan of buttoned cowls, it was just a matter of time until I designed one. Here’s a simple yet textured design that you can make in no time!
This is not a beginners’ pattern, but I’ve tried to add as much detail as possible and step-by-step pictures for every row.
Keeping the stitch count is really important with this kind of project, so I’ve added the stitch count to every row as well.
Yarn & Hook size: For the step-by-step pictures I used Sultan Deluxe with a 3mm hook, but you can use whatever yarn & hook size you like, as long as they match and you are happy with the resulting tension
Gauge: 22 dc and 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Difficulty: intermediate
Terminology: US terms
Materials required:
• 1 cake of Sultan Shadow #05 or any equivalent cake yarn (aprox. 700 meters)
• Matching crochet hook
• Tapestry needle to sew ends
• Scissors
• 4 small buttons (1.5 cm diameter)
