Gingham Granny Square Baby Blanket
This Gingham Baby Blanket is such a fun twist on the standard granny square. The pattern is an easy little granny square that works up quickly. The pattern is written for dk and chunky weight yarn, but any weight will work. The white, light, and medium colored yarns give the blanket the sweet gingham look. The blanket can just as easily be worked in one solid color, two colors for a checked pattern, or many colors. I used a slip stitch join on the back which looks like an invisible join on the front side.
The stitches in the pattern are chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch.
Approximate finished size is 28 x 28 inches for dk weight yarn, 32 x 32 inches for chunky weight yarn. Squares can be added or subtracted for alternate sizes.
