Ginnie’s Snood for Greyhounds
4 July 2024
After donating all sales to this point plus over 100 handknit snoods and bandanas, I have decided that all future profits will remain with me. It’s an expensive business keeping two large dogs and feeding them with good quality food, vet bills etc. The original wording on the pattern remains unchanged at this point but I will get to that at some stage.

This fun pattern is written for the unique shape of a greyhound neck but can be modified to suit other sighthounds.
Suggestions are given within the pattern for other variations which are shown in photos on left of this page.
Written as a single size which I have checked on dogs of vastly different size (30kgs up 40kgs), instructions are given where and how to make any changes if making for a considerably smaller or larger dog.
You can use any DK weight yarn that knits to gauge but I feel that wool is the better option for warmth plus the qualities it brings to stranded colourwork. Choose two highly contrasting colours for best effect.
