Ginny is strong, brave, and kind. Even though she is often left in the dust by her older siblings and their friends, she overcame and helped save Hogwarts multiple times. Known for her impressive Bat-Bogey hex, Ginny has many spells and curses under her belt.

This bookmark is patterned with a diamond lace inset, stockinette stitch, and garter stitch border. It is easy to work and very quick - about 2 hours to make. As with all my patterns, I tried to keep this pattern as beginner-friendly as possible. I used easy to understand abbreviations and included a glossary with definitions. This is an excellent first lace project and very intuitive and yet interesting enough for experienced witches and wizards! ;)

You’ll need about 25-30 yards of fingering weight yarn and 3.5mm (US 4) straight knitting needles.

After finishing this little beauty, be sure to block it, as the garter stitch has a tendency to flop behind the stockinette and blocking always improves lace!

Enjoy!

This pattern is the third pattern in the Magical Bookmarks series - a collection of free bookmark knitting patterns inspired by the girls of Harry Potter. #magicalbookmarks
