Crochet baby blanket/ tapestry for a Giraffe.

This pattern comes with both a graph and written instructions.

It is 80 stitches wide by 90 rows tall

I recommend a medium weight (worsted weight) yarn with a J sized hook.

It is all single stitch crochet. In order to make this blanket you will need to know how to carry yarn (there are great Youtube videos that can teach you how to do the Tapestry Crochet Technique.

For this pattern I would recommend carrying the green, light brown and tan through the entire pattern to keep it even. Only add in the black where needed. This is how I like to do it but other ways will work as well so if you’d prefer to carry more or less colors than feel free to do so

The #’s are for each row
The letters are for different colors. (A = Green, B = Black, C = Light Brown, D = Tan)
(so the above pattern would have the first row be 150 stitches of color A. 2nd row would have 30 stitches of color A followed by 20 stitches of color B followed by 10 stitches of color A and so on….)
