This pattern is written in American English crochet terms
Size of the blanket – about 14in / 35cm (length of each arm from the middle – 8in / 20cm); Size of the head: about 10 cm / 4in long; about 10 cm / 4in high; about 15 cm / 6in wide ear to ear
You can make it larger or smaller by adjusting the hook and yarn weight.
Skill Level: Easy / Intermediate
This pattern includes instructions supported by many photos.
You will need to know how to do:
Stitches: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet; double crochet
Increase & decrease
Crochet in rounds
For this design, I used Three Bears Yarn Cotton, which is wonderful, soft cotton approved for the projects for premature babies. I used the following colours, but you can use any yarn and suitable size hook – the size of the finished item will change according to the yarn & hook used.
White (Optic White Shade)
Yellow (Pale Honey Shade) - Main Colour
Light Brown (Beige Shade) - Contrast A
Orange - (Tango Shade) - Contrast B
Black and Green – about 5 metres for creating eyes
