Giraffe Ragdoll
THIS PATTERN IS WRITTEN IN US CROCHET TERMINOLOGY
Notes:
This would be considered an intermediate skill level pattern. It is made entirely by single crochet, but you must have a clear understanding of single crochet increase/decrease as well as color work/tapestry crochet!
Materials:
You will need yarn, 3.00 mm crochet hook, 2.75 mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, stitch markers, scissors, 20.00 mm safety eyes, and poly-fill for stuffing!
Let’s talk about yarn!
You will need #4 worsted weight yarn for this project! I used 200 yards of I LOVE THIS YARN in yellow for the main body. I used 40 yards of Gazzal Rock in Roll Yarn for the hooves, spots, and horns. Feel free to use any color or brand if it is #4 worsted weight yarn!
Final Measurement:
Your finished giraffe will measure 10 inches tall. Your finished giraffe will measure 6 inches wide.
Gauge:
Gauge is not extremely important for this pattern. You just want your stitches to be tight enough that poly-fill won’t poke out!
Other Important Information:
This duckling is made in the ragdoll style. This means you will be making two different panels and then single crocheting them together to create your finished project! You will NEED a basic understand of how to do colorwork when crocheting this is also known as tapestry crochet.
Abbreviations:
-Ch: chain
-Sl st: slip stitch
-Sc: single crochet
-Inc: increase
-Dec: decrease
