This pattern is super easy. Great beginner project. It’s worked in rows and the last row is slip stitiched to the first to form a band.

You can adjust this pattern to fit a smaller or larger child or even an adult by adding or subtracting rows. Measure the head from the nape of the neck, over the ears, and to the crown to get the correct measurement. Make the band 1” - 2” less than the measurement to account for stretching.
