Glacier Bay
This shawl was inspired by my trip to Glacier Bay several years ago. I found this wonderful yarn at a shop in Juneau, and after seeing the glacier, I knew exactly what to do with it. Every time I wear it, I remember my trip.
The shawl is made in 3 sections:
- The center portion is worked from end to end, then you bind off.
- On the long edge, you pick up sts, and work the Seed Stitch curved section sideways from top to bottom. It is not bound off.
- After the last row of Seed Stitch, you pick up stitches around the entire edge of the shawl and work the border perpendicularly around the outer edge.
