Glade Hat
Glade is a fitted or slightly slouchy hat with a pretty waving lace pattern that reminds me of the dappled shade in a forest glade. It can be knit in DK, worsted, Aran, or bulky weight yarn to fit almost any head. It’s a quick knit and a flattering shape, which makes it perfect for gift giving.
The sizing on this hat is based on your yarn weight and knitting gauge. The pattern includes three different stitch counts and the needle sizes and gauges I used with five different yarns. The lace pattern has a moderate amount of stretch and is versatile enough that it looks nice whatever your gauge.
Perhaps I shouldn’t say this, but I think a hat IS a gauge swatch, so don’t be afraid to just jump in and start knitting. There will always be a head to fit your finished hat!
This pattern is charted and written.
