Glasgow Cathedral Mittens
by Rhiannon Don
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
In Glasgow Cathedral, there is a beautiful stained glass
window called the Millennium Window, designed by John K.
Clark. The patterning of hand dyed yarn often reminds me of stained glass, and these mittens are a tribute to the beauty of both the yarns and the windows.
While the pattern is written for a women’s small (7.5” diameter/11” long) the pattern can easily be sized up by using a heavier yarn.
Tip: If you are making the mittens longer than the chart, work the first 3 stitches of each row in the established pattern instead of trying to match the chart to the decreases shown.
