Swiss graphic designer Walter Haettenschweiler drew inspiration from architecture when designing for the Glashof restaurant in Zug. If you reduce the building’s pyramid-shaped skylights to their structure, you are left with squares and triangles. These two geometric shapes run through the restaurant’s graphics.

The reduction of these two shapes creates room for new forms. The Glashof shawl is a triangular shawl of a different kind.

The shawl is knitted from the left tip to the right. Each triangle is knitted one after the other and worked individually.

We recommend solid colours to best showcase the pattern.

Der Schweizer Grafiker Walter Haettenschweiler hat sich bei der Gestaltung für das Restaurant Glashof in Zug durch die Architektur inspirieren lassen. Reduziert man die pyramidenförmigen Oberlichter des Gebäudes auf die Struktur, bleiben Quadrate und Dreiecke übrig. Diese beiden geometrischen Formen ziehen sich durch die Grafik des Restaurants.

Die Reduktion auf die beiden Formen erzeugt Spielraum für neue Formen. Das Glashof Tuch ist ein Dreiecks-Tuch der anderen Art.

Das Tuch wird von der linken Spitze zur rechten gestrickt. Jedes Dreieck wird nacheinander angesetzt und einzeln gestrickt.

Damit das Muster am besten zur Geltung kommt, empfehlen wir einfarbige Farben.
