The Glen Walk Socks started life on a visit to Glenarm Forest in Co Antrim. As I walked through the glen, I felt the speckles in the yarn reflected the colours I was seeing all around me. The socks are knit from the toe up with a simple ribbed eyelet pattern on the front of the foot and leg, an easy pattern to memorise and take out and about if you want something more than a vanilla sock.

The pattern has instructions for a wedge toe and a Wrap and Turn short row heel, however the heel and toe could easily be changed to your own choice. They are knit using the magic loop method but can be adapted to suit dpns.

Sizes: Small - Medium - Large
S 7”/18 cm foot circumference

Gauge: 36 sts x 48 rows per 4 inches using 2.25mm needle in stocking stitch
