The original design for this sweet vintage sweater was published in Handicrafter Magazine, and re-typed and posted on Hardrockzombie.livejournal.com in 2009. The original sweater was knit in one size only, in a very bulky gauge and with rather vague instructions. Designer Jackie McKernan loved the sweater, but wanted to see it in a finer gauge, with multiple sizes and row-by-row instructions - We are glad she did! The contemporary version reflects the curve-hugging deep ribbing, feminine neckline, and sleeve details perfectly; the finer stitches and sizing makes it more wearable and comfortable; and the clear instructions make it an easy knit.
