Glennfinnan is a beautiful village on the shores of Lach Shiel in the Highlands of Scotland. It is famous for it beautiful scenery and architecture - including the famous railway viaduct featured in so many films. This beautiful hat has been designed to reflect many of the architectural themes found in and around Glennfinnan. The hat can be knit as either a slouch hat or a beanie and fits most adults.

The hat is worked from the top down using Emily Ocker’s circular cast on and Jeni’s Surprisingly Stretchy Cast Off. The hat features Estonian gathered stitches and delicate lace patterns. The crown forms a beautiful star and leaves adorn the band.

The yarn used for the samples is Gold Dust from Greenwood Fiberworks. This is a lovely fingering weight yarn with a gold metallic fiber blended in.
