Herringbone stitch worked in a superfine tweed yarn creates sturdy, yet soft, fingerless mitts. Two small buttons at the wrist add a classic touch.
Sizes 7¼ (8¼, 9¼)“ hand circumference and 6 (6¼, 6¾)” long; shown in size 7¼“
Yarn Rowan Fine Tweed (100% wool; 98 yd 90 m/25 g):
• #383 leyburn, 2 (3, 3) skeins
Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers
Gauge 39 sts and 28 rows = 4” in Herringbone st on larger needles
