Global Finger Mitts
The Global Finger Mitts combine a Nepalese hemmed cuff and thumbs, a Newfoundland separated index finger, and a Scandinavian stranded-flower pattern. These finger mitts are worked from the bottom up.

Finished Size 8 (9, 9½, 10)“ hand circumference above thumb opening and 8¾ (9½, 9½, 10¾)” long from turning ridge. Finger mitts shown measure 8” circumference.
Yarn Brown Sheep Company Lamb’s Pride Bulky (85% wool, 15% mohair; 125 yd 114 m/3½ oz 100 g): #M23 Fuchsia (MC), 1 (1, 2, 2) skein(s) (see Notes); #M189 Blooming Fuchsia (CC1), 1 skein; 1–2 yd of 3rd color (CC2) of similar weight for flower centers.
Needles Size 8 (5 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn) (see Notes). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge 16 sts and 22 rnds = 4” in St st.

These finger mitts are worked in the round from the bottom up.

The chart is worked using the stranded method. Always pick up the background color over the pattern color and pick up the pattern color from under the background color. Keep floats loose. For floats longer than five stitches, tack stranded yarn on the wrong side of the work every third stitch.

If necessary, use a larger needle for the charted rounds to maintain gauge.

The sample used most of one skein of MC. If making the second size, consider purchasing an extra skein as insurance.
