4.5 mm ( 7 US )for working the jumper (for the body and sleeves)

Gauge:

22 rows x 16 sts = 10cm x 10cm (4 inches) in St st.

Notes:

this is a top-down jumper, worked from the top, beginning from the neck to the yoke. When the raglan yoke is worked and finished, sleeves and body are separated and body is worked to the end adding some stitches for the underarms. When the body is finished, the two sleeves are worked by picking up stitches and knitting the stitches previously left on hold.

sizes are intended with some of positive ease at the chest, but not too much. Both sleeves and body are not intended to be close-fitting, but not too large either. The length of the body can be changed in order to obtain a longer jumper if desired.

sleeves and body are intended to be longer then a normal pullover. I noted the instructions for decreases, but I left some free rows close to the end of the sleeve in order to allow some changes or adjustment and make it long as desired.

instructions for short rows may be found at the end of the pattern. I used the “yo short rows”, but any kind of short rows can be used (be careful if you use the “wrap and turn SR”. In that case some adjustments must be made because in W and T SR you need to calculate one more stitch for the wrapping.

for both sleeves and body a phony seam is suggested. Procedures for doing it may be found in the pattern. Phony seams are made to give more structure the jumper in order to shape it more and prevent it from becoming too loose. (I added a link to a tutorial in the pattern)

when changing colour, be careful to follow instructions for “jogless stripes” in the round.

all measures in the pattern are in centimeters.
